Today in class, we did research on Ernest Hemingway and six word stories in preparation of making our own. In the process, I learned that the concept of six words stories was introduced by Ernest Hemingway when he made a bet that he could write a novel in six words. For his story, Hemingway chose the words, "For sale, baby shoes, never worn." To me, one of the most interesting things about six word stories is how you can get such a powerful message across in only a few words. Sometimes, you can even get across more than one message. A few of my favorite stories I discovered were, "I asked. You answered with silence." and "Tripped over luck, stumbled upon tragedy." I thought both of these stories told powerful messages and at certain points in my life I related to them. Overall I'm excited to get creative and come up with my own six word story.
